Pavo cristatus
The male reaches 2.50 m in length, with the tail. The wingspan is up to 1.60 m. The neck is blue and long feathers on the tail.
The species of Black Wing is distinguished from the Blue Peacock in that it has no streaked shoulders as it is a mutation of pattern and not of colour. The female of Black Wing has a different plumage from the male, it is white and brown.
The crest has the shape of a fan with small, rigid feathers, being common in both sexes.
