Vulpes vulpes
It has a reddish-brown coat, with grey tones, being shorter in summer and longer in winter; a very thick tail and long, pointed ears. Slender snout with white upper lip and often has a black or brown ‘tear’ on the cheeks, with variable sharpness. The throat is usually white.
