Identification

The Common Buzzard is a bird of dark brown plumage with white spots, presenting a white necklace on the chest in the shape of a half moon, clear legs, short head, wide and rounded wings and a medium-sized tail.

When flat, the wings are slightly raised, making a smooth “V”. It is usually seen on poles waiting for its prey.
