Identification

With a medium size, it is distinguished from the Red Kite by presenting a less contrasting plumage and a less forked tail. It has a dark brown lower face, with pale bands at the wing ends, and a triangular tail.
There is no evident sexual dimorphism, but males are generally smaller than females.
