Identification

They are animals of medium height, phenotypically homogeneous, black to very dark brown in colour, with short, smooth and often shiny hair. Medium, long head, fine snout, small mouth and thin lips; long semi-hanging ears, small horns directed backwards, with parallel or slightly divergent stems. Predominant beard in males. Long neck, poorly muscled, croup drooping; short tail; slightly arched trunk, well-developed udder with conical breasts, with large ceilings. Thin, resistant limbs, with small and stiff nails.
