The Mirandese Donkey, which in ancient times was used for agricultural tasks, helping a lot in the cultivation of lands, from some time ago to this part, and due to agricultural mechanization, it stopped being useful for Man and consequently decreased its effective.
Since the opening of the Biological Park of Vinhais in 2008, Burro Mirandês has been part of the animal collection, contributing to the preservation and valorisation of this indigenous breed, as well as, due to its characteristics, used to make donkey rides to children up to 12 years old.
This activity can be carried out at the following times:
Monday; Wednesday; Friday – 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Tuesday; Thursday; Saturday; Sunday – 10:30am to 11:30am and from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
The price for this activity is 4,00€.
